Also known as red palm or red sealing wax palm, lipstick palm (Cyrtostachys renda) is appropriately named for its distinctive, bright red fronds and trunk. It is slender, smooth and slightly swollen at the base. Lipstick palm is considered by many to be one of the world’s most beautiful and exotic palms.
- Low maintenance
- Grows to about 8-15' tall, but can reach upwards of 50' in ideal conditions
- Thrives in full sunlight at maturity, but benefits from some shade while it's young
- Ideal temperature is 75-85°F
- Toxicity: Non-toxic to humans and pets
