Black Sweet Potato "Blackie" grows deep purple, nearly black, with five-lobed leaves. It adds a great contrast color everywhere it grows. It is a tender perennial & a greenery favorite. They produce a variety of boldly colored foliage, ranging from green, variegated & deepest, darkest purple, nearing black. Colors will come to life through early spring, summer & fall, right up until the first frost. Desired most for its vivid foliage, rapid vigorous growth, heat tolerance, & trailing/vining growth habit for landscape, beds, baskets & containers. They mound to about 6-12”, then spread, vine & climb nearly as far as you will let them!
